Asbury Seminary was founded in 1923 "to prepare and send forth a well-trained, sanctified, Spirit-filled, evangelistic ministry" to spread scriptural holiness around the world. Over eighty years later, Asbury has continued to hold to our intended goal upon which we were founded and provide holistic ministerial preparation as an interdenominational institution. Asbury Seminary takes the position that God calls to His ministry men and women renewed by faith in Christ and set apart for Christian service by a divine call. Asbury Seminary is committed to preparing its students for this vocation through: Providing an environment of spiritual education that results in personal spiritual formation, encouraging a holistic approach to ministry and ministerial preparation, and providing a theological education of academic excellence and professional preparation. Total current enrollment exceeds 1,600 students, representing over 90 denominations and 38 countries.

D.MIN. PROGRAMS
General Description:
The Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) program is an advanced professional theological degree for ministers and, as such, exists to serve the church. It offers specialized tracks that will equip pastors with a significantly higher level of competence than that achieved during their Master of Divinity studies. The D.Min. program offers five ministry tracks:

Beeson Pastor Residential track
Beeson Pastor Non-residential track
Beeson International Leaders track
In-Ministry track
Transformational Innovation (Florida) track

The Doctor of Missiology (D.Miss.) program prepares knowledgeable leaders for the church and its institutions and movements whose service warrants advanced missiological knowledge and strengths in missiological field research. Modeled after the Ed.D. degree, the D.Miss. program prepares people for informed mission practice, for advanced field leadership and for teaching in the academy.
